Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a toxic, odorless and tasteless gas that is produced by incomplete combustion. Exposure to CO may cause sickness, headaches and even death. While flying, you can't be complacent in thinking that the exhaust system is secure and isn't leaking deadly CO into the cockpit. As an indication that CO is present, the little round spot will turn gray/black. The spot will turn to normal color after it is exposed to fresh air. It has an adhesive back and easily attaches to the instrument panel as a semi-permanent installation, or wear it as an ID badge or on a lanyard. 3" X 3"
